From wholesaler to retail and back.

We began in the 1940’s as a wholesale lumber company servicing some of the largest machine manufacturers in the Midwest: Caterpillar, John Deere, J. I. Case, Barber Greene and many more. Our flooring sales arm was added in 1980 when the need for specialty hardwood flooring increased with the growing construction industry. Today, The Bahr Company is conveniently located in Romeoville with an expansive warehouse, showroom, and an extensive inventory of flooring and related installation materials.
